 Weekend Vipassana Retreat Daily Schedule

Friday:

  • Arrive at the monastery and check-in by 6:30pm
  • 7:00pm – Orientation
  • 7:30pm-9pm – Chanting, Meditation Instructions, and Meditation
  • 9:00pm – Self practice and retire to accommodations

Saturday:

  • 5:00am Morning wake-up bell
  • 5:30-6:30am – Morning Chanting and Meditation
  • 7:00-7:45am – Lite Breakfast and Break
  • 8:00-10:00am – Dhamma Talk and Meditation
  • 10:00-10:30am – Walking Meditation
  • 11:00-12noon – Mindfulness Lunch
  • 12:00-1:00pm – Break
  • 1:00-2:00 Dhamma Talk, 2:00-5:00pm – Sitting Meditation, followed by Walking Meditation
  • 5:00-7:00pm – Tea Break and free time
  • 7:00pm-9:00pm – Evening Chanting, Meditation, and Dhamma Talk
  • 9:00pm – Self Practice and retire to accommodations

Sunday:

  • 5:00am Morning wake-up bell
  • 5:30-6:30am – Morning Chanting and Meditation
  • 7:00-7:45am – Lite Breakfast
  • 7:45-8:30am – Dhamma Q&A
  • 8:30am – End of Retreat
  • 9:30-11:20am – Join the Monastery’s Sunday Service. (Optional)
  • 11:30-12:30pm – Potluck Lunch
  • 1:00pm – End of Sunday Service

Dhamma Study Class on the 2nd and 4th Thursday

The class will be held in the Activity Room. The class meets every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month, unless there’s a holiday, at 7 pm in the Activity Room (just behind the kitchen).  We start with a 30 minute meditation, followed by a discussion on the material we are reading. Monk Availability

Monk Availability Ajahn Somchai is at the Temple. Ajahn Ritthi is in Thailand until December 11th. Ajahn Prayad and Ajahn Vallop are in Thailand until January 2018. Two Monks from Thailand: Phra Somphan, and Phramaha Chaitatfrom are now resident at the Temple. Ajahn Tom is no longer at the Temple.

Vipassana Retreats

Weekly Meditation
