Songkran Day (Thai New Year celebration)

For centuries, the Songkran Festival has been observed as a symbol of hospitality, love and the importance of maintaining strong relationships within families, communities, and society as a whole. Thai’s show respect to family elders and receive their blessings and pray for near and dear ones who have passed away.

Conventionally, family and friends celebrate Songkran Day by splashing water on each other in the form of a wish for a year filled with blessings.

Since this is a special celebration parking is limited in the Temple’s parking lot, therefore please go directly to the Leota Junior High School located at 19301 168th Ave NE, Woodinville, WA 98072.  A shuttle van will drive you to the Temple.
