Join us for a day of meditation practice with your peers in recovery. Learn how the Buddha’s teachings on ethical behavior and mindfulness meditation can enhance your current program of recovery. Together we will explore craving using mindfulness meditation and discussion.
We will begin and end the retreat with a Buddhist recovery meeting, and explore sitting and walking meditation practice with or without instruction. We will also have a Dharma talk in the afternoon and a session of mindful movement to soothe our tired muscles!
This retreat is open to anyone from any recovery program, and you do not have to be a Buddhist, or have meditation experience. All that is required is an interest in Buddhist practice and meditation as related to recovery.
The suggested donation for this event is $25, plus DANA for the temple, but no one will be turned away for inability to pay.
Please register for this event at: Northwest Buddhist Recovery A vegetarian sack lunch is available to order on the website, and overnight accommodations for Friday evening are available for travelers.
