Q: What is the moral principle to control the human behaviors in Buddhism?  A: Sila or the precept.

Q: What does it mean by kill? A: To kill means to take the life off.

Q: Please give the meaning of the word “Kama” mentioned in the third precept of the 5 Precepts. A: The word “Kama” in the third precept is the manner of loving to each other of the two persons with sexual feeling.

Q: For what purpose is the Fourth precept formulated?  A: It is formulated to refrain a person from destroying the other’s advantage with the false speech.

Q: What is it “Kalyanadhamma” signified as?  A: It is meant as the special ennobling virtue to be developed by the person who observes the five precepts. It is also the principle that is more special than the precepts because of being virtue of loving –kindness and compassion.

Q: How are the virtues of loving-kindness and compassion (Metta-Karuna) helpful to the First of the 5 Precepts? A: A Person who has habitually practiced these two virtues, will absolutely refrain from Killing.

Q: What damages will a person lacking a control of sexual misconduct undergo?  A: They are: 1) Loss of money or wealth. 2) Liability to disease. 3) Other dangers.
